11 Random Things About Me:

1. I’m fiercely loyal!

2. I have lived in 5 states and 2 countries (including the US)!

3. I am an avid reader – historical fiction and mysteries being my favorite genres.  Put those to together and I’m in book heaven!

4. I still have the blanket that my mom’s best friend made for me when I was born.  I won’t tell you when I stopped sleeping with it.

5. I used to be a very very picky eater until I started dating my husband (ie: I had never had basic items such as:  salad dressing, eggs, clam chowder, tuna fish, beans, and many other things) now I consider myself somewhat of a foodie.  However, every now and again I claim not liking things I’ve never tasted.

6. The Trevi Fountain in Rome is one of my most favorite places in the world.

7. I am an avid sports fan and will pretty much watch any sport that is on tv if I have time.  I am really in it for the sports montages!

8. My name is Beth, just Beth and I always wish I had a name that had a nickname.

9. I am a sucker for a dairy queen chocolate cookie dough blizzard.

10. I am obsessed with Christmas ornaments.  I have an amazing amazing collection.  I have a separate decorative tree for my most important ornaments they are not allowed on the actual tree.  I know it’s strange, but my ornaments represent places we’ve traveled, important life moments, etc and almost every one has a story and those are tough to replace.

11. I am a pancake snob.  I will only eat the ones that my family makes from scratch.  You will never see me order pancakes out in a restaurant – ever.

Answers to my 11 Questions (asked by Sheri):

1. What is your favorite article of clothing?  My hoodies – I could wear a hoodie every day.  I’m all about comfort.

2. If you could receive anything in the world as a gift, what would it be?  Right now the thing I am desiring is a new camera and a specific necklace that I have been eyeing with my boys initials on it.

3. Do you prefer talking on the phone or texting?  I prefer talking on the phone.  I actually love when I have a one hour or longer marathon chat with a good friend, nothing is better.  

4. What is your best high school memory? I don’t know that I could pinpoint just one.  Either the general silliness and fun that ensued when my best friend Katie and I hung out or perhaps winning the State Championship for Volleyball my senior year.

5. Favorite singer/band/group? Currently I’d have to say Mumford & Sons, I am obsessed with their cd and hope their next album is just as good so I can be obsessed with that one.  Individual singer would have to go to either Pat McGee or Sara Bareilles.

6. If you could sit and visit with any actor or actress who would it be?  Jack Lemmon

7. What item do you own that you’ll never get rid of? Said blanket listed in number 4 above.

8. Favorite character of all time?  If we’re talking book I’m going to say Jay Gatsby.

9. What are you most afraid of?  Sharks!  Jaws is an inappropriate movie for a 5 year old to watch just in case you were thinking of letting your 5 year old watch Jaws.

10. Most hated chore/task?  That’s easy – cleaning the bathtub!  2nd would be ironing!

11. What is the most recent dream you can recall? I tend to have very vivid and disturbing nightmares often so I’d rather not write down what the last dream I can remember was because it is not filled with happy things.  No idea why I have nightmares so frequently but I do.
